What's the big deal?

NO DEAL!!
My friend Kim and I couldn't miss out on the excitement of the Deal or No Deal casting call this weekend, so we hauled ourselves down to R.C. Willey to stand in line with thousands of other crazy people. Craig and Hunter came along for fun, but after standing in line for about 3-4 hours in the sun they were done. Kim and I still had about another 3 hours of standing still to go when they left. It was fun seeing all of the insane people. We met a man who had painted his head gold. There were a lot of other crazies trying to be different and stand out. We ran in to my mom and Gina. My mom being the friendly lady she is, bonded so much with the people she was standing in line with that they are planning to come to Clayson's homecoming in July! When we finally got close to where the judging was there was so much excitement it was crazy. People were yelling and screaming. The girl next to me kept practicing her choregraphy that accompanied her singing "I'm Every Woman" (I guess she thought it was American Idol). Finally after standing in line for close to 7 hours we got our chance to talk about ourselves for 20 seconds and make our lives sound as interesting as possible. I didn't make it past the first round ( i guess I'm not very interesting), but my mom and Kim both made it to the 2nd. Supposedly there were 4 rounds you had to make it through to get a shot at being on the show. They were choosing 5 people out of the 15,000 who showed up. Suprisingly none of us made it. Oh well. It was just fun to be there. It's not everyday I get to spend several straight hours chatting with one of my favorite buddies, so it was a good day. We don't need your money Howie!!!

What a STORY!! The Quigley Clan never ceases to amaze (or amuse) me! I told my parents and they laughed hysterically. Good goin'! I would have definetly voted you in. I mean c'mon - we were practically capable of making mirrors turn to jelly to step into some new universe, and make things move with our minds (not to mention all the homespun dance concerts and homemade super glue) and all when we were 6 years old! I'm sure you not only could have wowed the crowd on T.V. but you could have definetly picked the million dollar case!(I always knew you had secret powers)

Darn! How fun would that be?! If you were on the show I could have been your friend that says "Janae, take the deal, take the deal!!!" Bryce and I are always yelling that at the TV when we watch the show!

Fu-un! I think they really missed the boat by not picking you! You are TOTALLY interesting! And I love the story about your Mom, and the random people she met and invited to a family function, it reminds me of my Grandma, who will talk to anybody and everybody for as long as they want to listen. I'm sure there are many strange people that konw MY life story through-out the world!

Janae, it's been much too long! I'm glad we found each other! I can't believe they didn't pick you to be on Deal or No Deal! If I lived closer we totally would have gone to tryout, too!

Your little boy is so cute! I bet you are a great mom!
